Navayukti Dance Academy - Student & Parent Guidelines
Welcome to Navayukti Dance Academy! To ensure a positive and enriching experience for all students, we request parents and students to follow these guidelines.
1. Class Etiquette:
Students must arrive on time, dressed in appropriate dance attire (salwar/kameez or leggings with a fitted top). Hair should be neatly tied back.
Salangai should be worn only after receiving approval from the instructor.
Students should bring a water bottle during sessions.

Students should bring a note book and pen to write down theory.
Maintain discipline and respect towards the instructor and fellow students.
No chewing gum, food, or drinks (except water) inside the dance space.
2. Attendance & Punctuality:
Regular attendance is crucial for progress. If a student is unable to attend class, prior notification is required.
Missed classes will not be refunded, but students may have the option to attend a makeup session, subject to instructor availability.
If a student is late, they must wait for the instructor’s signal before joining the class.
3. Parent Responsibilities:
Parents must drop off and pick up students on time. The academy is not responsible for students left unattended before or after class.
Ensure that students practice at home and come prepared for class.
Parents are encouraged to communicate with the instructor regarding their child’s progress via email or scheduled meetings rather than during class hours.
4. Performance & Recitals:
Participation in annual recitals and other performances is highly encouraged.
Students must attend all designated rehearsals to be eligible to perform.
Costume and recital fees must be paid by the given deadline.
5. Code of Conduct:
Respect for the Guru and peers is paramount.
Bullying, negative behavior, or disruptions will not be tolerated.
Parents and students should uphold the integrity of Bharatanatyam and the academy's values.
6. Fees & Payments:
Tuition fees must be paid in full at the beginning of each term. Late payments may incur a fee.
No refunds will be issued for missed classes.
7. Health & Safety:
Students should inform the instructor of any injuries or health concerns before class.
The academy is not liable for any injuries sustained during practice or performances.
We appreciate your cooperation and dedication to the art of Bharatanatyam. Thank you for being a part of Navayukti Dance Academy!
